Tom for his part had taken the last couple of days to think about that private conversation, at least in those few moments he had to himself. It hadn't gone exactly well. Frankly, he had no one to blame but himself... he'd let his emotions get the better of him. It was never easy to face the ghosts of his past and then to have it all turned on it's head...
He left Armstrong in charge of the helm and took a few hours for himself. Invariably his path leads him to the garden, his favorite part of the ship. It's a place of solace and reflection and he could use a little of both right now. When he was here Roland gave him space, only intruding when absolutely necessary. Given all the subtle and not so subtle hints he'd been dropping, a little break from him too was welcome.
Eventually he comes to a decision... he can't put things off any longer. "Roland, would you ask our Freelancer guest to join me. We need to clear the air about a few things."
"Sure thing Captain Lasky." Tom rolls his eyes at the touch of smugness in Roland's affirmative.
